Four days in hospital

tweek_ukAfter going offline on Sunday I watched Hana-Kimi
and The
Daily Life of a Part-time Torturer on Crunchyroll and
another episode of The Expanse on Amazon Prime. I then had
my tea and watched the opening two episodes of Spanish drama Honor
on All Four followed by two more episodes of The Expanse.
Later I read more of Herbert West - Reanimator.
On morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before watching another episode of The Expanse. I then set off to do some shopping... I didn't get there. I don't know exactly what happened but I came off my bike in Moulton and the next thing I knew I was in the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston being told I'd had various scans and stitches to a cut by my left eye. I later learned that I'd been back on my feet and talking at the doctor's in Moulton and spoke lucidly but I have absolutely no recollection of that. It looks like I blacked out as there were no hand injuries one would expect from a bike accident. I spent the next four days in hospital and had some tests. Nothing was found but I know have a heart monitor to see if there is a problem there. I was released on Friday.
I probably won't be back on my bike for a bit; certainly not before my GP gives me the go ahead. One could be pessimistic about it but I prefer to look on the bright side... I well to the left and if that had happened half a mile further on I could have ended up in a six foot deep dyke and broken my neck or drowned and a mile further on I could have fallen into oncoming traffic on the busy A151. Instead I was in a quiet village with enough traffic to ensure I was soon found and near the doctors' surgery.
This morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before having a rest while doing some puzzles in the paper.
In the afternoon I walked up to the bike shop to have it checked over; unfortunately the chap couldn't do it today and is away next week so I'll try again in a fortnight. Once back I popped online and made my moves in RavenBlack's Vampire Game.
