A day in Peterborough
Aug. 2nd, 2025 04:25 pmAfter going offline on Thursday watched another
episode of Darker than Black on DVD and read a bit more of
The Shape of Water before having my tea and watching Pointless
on BBC1. I then watched the film Police Story on DVD,
Started a new jigsaw and read more of The Shape of Water.
Yesterday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before cycling to Spalding to catch the train to Peterborough. Once there I went to the Draper's Arms for breakfast and a half of Hawkshead 'Red'. I then continued to the Blind tiger, were I had three thirds. After walking around till midday I headed to The Ostrich for their annual beer festival. I had four halves as sadly they don't do thirds.
Once back in Spalding I did a little stopping before heading home. When I got back I did more of my jigsaw before having my tea and watching Pointless on BBC1 followed by the film Goldfinger on DVD. Later I did more of the jigsaw and read more of The Shape of Water.
This morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing while listening to Elis James and John Robins on BBC Sounds. I then watched Dr. Stone and Solo Camping for Two on Crunchyroll. I then finished my jigsaw.
In the afternoon I cycled to Spalding and had a half each of Tydd Steam's 'Barn Ale' and Barsham's 'Bitter Old Bustard' at the Prior's Oven. I then did some shopping before heading home.
