A ride to Deeping
Jun. 9th, 2025 03:06 pmWhen I went offline on Thursday I read more of
The Chestnut Man before having my tea and watching Pointless
on BBC1. I then watched the opening two episodes of Spanish
drama Memento Mori on All Four and the film American
Psycho on DVD before reading more of my book.
On Friday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before cycling to Spalding to catch the train to Peterborough. Once there I had breakfast and a half of Milestone's 'Classic Dark Mild at the Draper's Arms before popping into the Blind Tiger, I'd been informed that their Green Gold brewery event would be starting late so wanted to get an idea of the time. Upon being told the beers should arrive at half past eleven I went for a bit of a walk. Back at the specified time I learnt the beers still weren't there... they finally got there at half past one because the electric van they were coming in needed charging! Once they were there they were soon on and I enjoyed a third of all six... finishing just in time to catch the 15:11 train home. Once back I had my tea and watched Pointless on BBC1 followed by Memento Mori on All Four. I then read more of The Chestnut Man.
On Saturday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before watching A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof and Bye, Bye Earth on Crunchyroll. I then popped back online to post a review of Bye, Bye Earth on the IMDb.
In the afternoon I cycled to Spalding and had a half each of Milestone 'Newark Castle' and Tydd Steam 'Armageddon' at the Prior's Oven. On the way home I did some shopping, when I got home I realised I'd been undercharged. After having my tea I watched the final two episodes of the first season of Memento Mori on All Four. Later I watched Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? and I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years on Crunchyroll before Reading more of The Chestnut Man.
Yesterday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before reading a bit more. After an early lunch I cycled to Deeping St. James for their Beer at The Priory event. I had four halves of beer and one of cider; all for the princely sum of ten pounds... with entertainment thrown in! Thankfully the rain held off while I was there but I did get a bit wet on the way back; thankfully I'd packed a raincoat. Once back I had some tea. Later on I watched Death Valley on BBC1 before reading a bit more.
This morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before watching Witch Watch on Crunchyroll. I then cycled to Spalding to do some shopping. I approached a member of staff about my underpayment on Saturday but after explaining what had happened he said not to worry about it.
This afternoon I made my moves in RavenBlack's Vampire Game.
