A day in Peterborough
Jun. 1st, 2025 02:57 pmAfter going offline on Thursday I did a bit
more of my jigsaw before having my tea and watching Pointless
on BBC1. I then watched the first episode of German crime drama Dark
Rivers on All Four before doing more of my jigsaw and
reading more of The House at Sea's End.
On Friday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before cycling to Spalding to get the train to Peterborough. Once there I had a half of Conwy 'Rampart' and a traditional breakfast at the Draper's Arms. I then went to the Blind Tiger where I had six thirds... and a couple of tasters. These included a couple of amazing smoothie-sours from Azvex and a few more regular brews from Phantom. I then headed to The Ostrich and had a half of 'Mixtape' from Tiny Rebel before finishing at Stoneworks for their Leigh-on-Sea/Abyss brewery takeovers; thankfully they included some lower strength brews.
Once home I had my tea while watching Pointless on BBC1. Later on I watched another episode of Dark Rivers on All Four before doing more of my jigsaw and reading more of The House at Sea's End.
Yesterday morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before watching A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof on Crunchyroll. I then did more of my jigsaw; it is proving to be much harder than I thought it would.
In the afternoon I cycled to Spalding and had a half each of Tydd Steam 'Barn Ale' and Milton 'Justinian' followed by a second half of 'Barn Ale'. On the way home I did some shopping. Once back I had my tea and watched another episode of Dark Rivers on All Four before doing more of my jigsaw and reading more of The House at Sea's End.
This morning I made my moves in the Kingdom of Loathing before watching Bye, Bye Earth, Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? and I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years on Crunchyroll before doing more of my jigsaw.
This afternoon I made some moves in RavenBlack's Vampire Game and chatted with Spacefan on FaceBook.
